Today, with the Jam Session Project, we are moving towards more electric sounds with this Wayne Shorter classic, “Footprints“, recorded in 1967 for his album “Adam’s Apple”. The first commercial release, however, was a different recording of the song which appeared on Miles Davis 1967 album, “Miles Smiles“. “Footprints” quickly became a jazz standard and has been reinterpreted by many jazz artists such as Bobby Watson, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea to name but a few. Alessandro’s alto saxophone is a Yamaha Custom YAS855 whit the Oleg ligature.
