With 800 riders lined up behind us on the snow at the top, things are tense and exciting, that feeling ramps up as the helicopter fly’s overhead and the start gun sounds! I had a bit of a poor go down the snow, was trying hard to avoid carnage and went too slow round the first corner as a result was going too slow for the entire next snow section and lost a tonne of spots. I managed to make them up until I finally ended up in a tight battle with Olivier Bruwiere and Alexis Chenevier for 2nd place. Kilian Bron was too far ahead to get within touching distance with and eventually won
