Temple of Hathor in Dendara

Along with Medinet Habu and Abu Simbel, this was the most impressive temple I found in Egypt. It’s fully formed, retains a fair amount of it’s original color and so many rooms of beautifully ornate hieroglyphs, you can climb down into the crypt or up onto the roof. There are very few tourists here. Most people book a tour from Luxor (90-120 drive each way) - at the time of writing I think it is not allowed for tourists to use minibuses here, but perhaps you could take a train to Qena and taxi from there?
