Here’s my cover of Jean Michel Jarre’s “Oxygene pt. 4“! The song is part of my new “Synthesizer Legends - Volume 1“ album, which is available now: The album features a collection of cover tunes of famous and less well-known instrumental synthesizer gems from the eighties. Some of the songs on the album have been part of my live repertoire for many years already, while other songs are completely new arrangements. The third single from the album is one of the newer arrangements: Jean Michel Jarre’s legendary “Oxygene, pt.4.“ The cover is heavily influenced by the edit of Hipnosis’ version used as theme song for the Finnish TV music show in the 80’s called “Hittimittari“. The music was recorded using only analog synthesizers and analog drum machines: Roland Alpha Juno 1&2; Jupiter-6; JX-3P; JX-8P; MKS-70; TR-808, Alesis Andromeda A6, Dave Smith Tetra, Hypersynth Xenophone (x2), Jomox AirBase99, Oberheim Matrix-1000, Touched-by-Sound DRM1.
