This was the very first 45 rpm single that I bought back in 1957. Recorded at the NJF concert Royal Festival Hall February 18th 1956 in front of a very enthusiastic audience. So different from Chris Barber’s version posted a few weeks ago. Johnny Codd trumpet, Tony Millner trombone, Tony Gibbons clarinet, Pat Hawes piano, Bob Mack guitar, Eric Starr bass, Dave Carey washboard. A great piece of British jazz from the fifties.
