Workers On Skates (1965)

Slough, Berkshire (was Buckinghamshire). C/Us of several people putting on roller skates. A couple of them skate through a warehouse - they fall over. More shots of workers roller skating around the warehouse picking up garments wrapped in plastic. The skating idea came from the manager director Rolph Pasold (sp?) who uses a bicycle to get around and check on production. High angle shot of him cycling around on the shop floor. Looks like it is a garment producing business of some sort - nothing in paperwork to show where or what the factory is. Narrator states that when Rolph is out and about on his bike “everybody gets a move on“ - people are seen skating around at top speed (the film is sped up) and Rolph is seen cycling super fast in the warehouse. Cuts exist - see other record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOCUMENTARIES, FASCINATING INTERVIEWS, AND CLASSIC MOVIES.
