England is in danger. Houses flooded in Surrey

Following the recent storm in the UK, flooding has continued. Rising levels of the River Thames are flooding homes and businesses in Surrey, England! The River Thames burst its banks at Runnymede, forcing some people to evacuate their property. There are currently 23 flood warnings in force across the county, 20 of which are for the Thames. Runnymede Borough Council has set up a holiday center at Addlestone in case households need to be evacuated. The council said flooding was likely to continue. One resident stood in knee-deep water in his garden, and approximately 20 other properties were similarly damaged. The Environment Agency said teams remained on the ground “working to minimize the impact of flooding where possible.“ Recent heavy rain has caused river levels to rise across the south east.
