Steve Wright: Legendary BBC Radio DJ dies aged 69

Steve Wright, the BBC radio DJ who anchored the mid-afternoon slot for upwards of 40 years, has died at the age of 69, his family have confirmed. The Greenwich-born DJ was known for his affable, upbeat on-air presence. He presented on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 and was known for his ’Steve Wright in the Afternoon’ show and ’Sunday Love Songs’.
