Boris Purushottama Grebenshchikov Concert Royal Albert Hall London Part 1

On May the 19, 2008, Boris Purushottama Grebenshchikov offered a concert at the Royal Albert Hall with a large number of musicians from a wide variety of musical backgrounds. The concert was dedicated to Sri Chinmoy who had passed away on October 11, 2007. Since his first meeting with Sri Chinmoy in Feb 2006, Boris Purushottama Grebenshchikov developed a close relationship with the Spiritual Master. There was a mutual appreciation between the spiritual master and the musical legend. As a sign of Sri Chinmoy’s esteem for Boris, Sri Chinmoy gave a Spiritual Name to the famous musician - an incantation or revelation to the spiritual depths of this great musician. Purushottama, meaning “the one who is beyond all limitations“. During his life in the West, Sri Chinmoy was also a prolific musician performing in over 800 concerts, including 6 at the Royal Albert Hall.
