Experimenting with my Fisher F19 metal detector by making it smaller to carry in my backpack hiking

I hike miles and miles everyday doing this and sometimes I just wish I could put my Fisher F19 metal detector in my 511 backpack. So I did this experiment by only taking the control box and the small 5 inch coil mounted on a small wooden handle. All I really need to do is confirm that the old spots I am checking out are intact cellar holes with iron in the ground. This way if I want to hike several mile scouting sites to go back to I am taking a lot less equipment with me including a full size shovel.
