Pride - When you can’t back down - Heaven Nightclub London 1982 ft SADE

The video was created for Peter Powells - Oxford Road Show that featured up and coming new bands. Pride then went into the BBC studios and recorded a series of songs that he played on his BBC Radio One Show as part of the Oxford Road Show feature. Years later in 1984 Sade played on the same show with the debut of Your Love is King :) . This was the London band PRIDE featuring Ms Adu (SADE) as a backing singer. Of course the lads in the band from Hull Paul Denman , Stuart Mathewman and Paul Cooke went onto to form one of the biggest bands in the 80’s SADE with the singer Ms Adu taking her name SADE for the band. The manager sacked the rest of the Pride band and then set up SADE after Pride failed to get a record deal.
