Ariana Grande “My Hair” - COVER by Erika

This is my cover of Ariana Grande’s My Hair from her positions album. Subscribers asked me to do this so long ago and ever since I reacted to her live vevo performance of my hair I have had the intent to try it myself. This is probably my favorite song on positions now, I’m a huge fan of how tastefully it displays her voice. Ariana Grande is definitely a huge vocal influence of mine, along with the greats like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and many great jazz vocalists. A huge thanks to Brian Maassen for recreating this beat, making some great changes to this and for recording and mixing it. He added lots of changes in the bass and a few more breaks in the beat for vocals to come in, which I love. Some parts were definitely tricky, to record especially the mixes in chorus 2 and of course the whistle tones. I’m super excited with how it came out and there’s some spots that I like a lot.
