The cranial nerve examination is often one of the biggest fears when it comes to medical school examinations. This neurological clinical skill is a real departure from the “standard“ approach of inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation, which can initially cause issues when this clinical examination is encountered for the first time. Thankfully, the twelve cranial nerves have a good flow, and with appropriate practice can easily be completed in a 10-minute OSCE station ******* For other cranial nerve examination explanation videos please look here: Cranial Nerve Examination Demonstration: Cranial Nerve I - Olfactory Nerve: Cranial Nerve II - Optic Nerve Cranial Nerves III, IV & VI Cranial Nerve V - Trigeminal Nerve Cranial Nerve VII - The Facial Nerve Cranial Nerve VIII - The Vestibulocochlear Nerve Cranial Nerve IX & X - Glossopharyngeal & Vagus Nerve Cranial Nerve XI & XII - Accessory & Hypoglossal Nerve #Cranialnerves #ClinicalSkills #ClinicalExamination #Neurology You can now consult via video or in person with Dr Gill at Dr Finlay’s Private Practice - - Introduction and Overview of Cranial Nerve Examination - Sense of Smell Test - Vision Test and Eye Health Check - Peripheral Vision Examination - Testing for Blind Spots - Sense of Sensation Test - Facial Muscle Examination - Hearing Test - Oral Health Check - Head and Neck Muscle Strength Test - Conclusion
