Mike Reed plays new blues from Canada on his Hammond Organ

This is a modern blues song, based on one I just heard on Indigenous Peoples Radio out of Canada. It was performed by a group fronted by Bebe Buckskin, a young blues singer. It is in “A minor“, with a few twists and turns, and I have merely followed what I heard, adding my own little Hammond Organ stuff here and there. This is how I learn, and how I follow-up on new tunes that I’m into. “Life is Good“ on a magnificent Friday the 23rd of July, 2021. The Blues can tear your heart out, and this has all the right harmonies.... right down to, and including, my addition of a nice little “Tierce Picarde“, a major chord of the tonic at the end of music that is either modal or in a minor key.
