Growing up in Oklahoma, I played jazz gigs and occasionally someone would yell out “FREEBIRD!“ out at these shows. One day, I obliged, and ’jazzed it up’ so to speak. This is my response to anyone requesting “Sandstorm.“ So here is my take on an iconic 4 note melody with a jazzy twist.
