Frankau pours himself a drink and gargles with the alcohol as he swallows. He sings a comic little song about keeping up appearances and keeping up with “the Jones’“. He then moves into a comic monologue about the opera Faust. He runs us through the entire opera scene by scene. He picks up song at the end of his story. He does a little dance.
