March of the Soviet Tankmen - EPIC Soviet Instrumental Song

March of the Soviet Tankmen (Марш советских танкистов) is a military march composed in 1939 by the Pokrass brothers with lyrics by Boris Laskin. It was commonly used as a Soviet propaganda song in World War II. The origin of the song was the movie “Tractorists“ (1939). After Stalin’s death in 1953, the original song’s lyrics were changed to remove all references to him, in line with Khrushchev’s policy of “Destalinization“. The Pokrass brothers are also known as the composers of the “March of the Red Cavalry“ (alternately, “Budyonny’s March) and of the famous “The Red Army is the Strongest“.
