After winning worlds in Shanghai, I felt like I disappointed some people by not bringing many fresh tricks and not coming out with a new routine. I shifted my priority from making something that people will enjoy to optimizing my routine to score the most points possible. Although it was my biggest win, it was also one of my least favorite freestyles mainly because everyone had already seen it and they usually expect me to come up with crazy new bangers. People like fresh, and I think that’s why they like Takeshi’s routine so much. I got the win, but I felt that I sort of sold my soul to get there. So this video is my redemption video. I really worked hard on each trick in this routine and made sure that they were interesting, unique and fresh.
