Pattern Drafting Lesson | The Louis Vuitton-Inspired Scuba Dress Pattern | Thrills and Stitches

In this video I explain how to draft the pattern for the Louis Vuitton-inspired scuba dress, the first dress in my festive season mini series. You will see me make a mini-version of the pattern which you can recreate at home to scale. If you don’t have a bodice block to begin with, create your own with the help of this blog post tutorial (unsponsored): To draft the pattern you will need: - Pencil/Sharpie - Pattern master and measuring tape - Craft paper (baking sheet roll also works) - Paper Scissors To sew the dress you will need: - 50 cm of scuba for the top part of the dress - 1.5 meters of scuba for the bottom part of the dress in whatever colour you fancy - 1 meter of printed silk (or other drapey fabric) for the sleeves - A plastic (or metal) sweater zipper - Matching thread for each colour of fabric you chose - 2.5 meters of bias tape for the inside seams To learn how
