Cowboys From Hell - The Pantera Story ┃ Documentary
On July 24, 1990, Pantera released their 5th studio album, Cowboys From Hell. An album that is widely regarded as one of the most influential Metal records of the early 90s.
It’s considered to be the band’s breakthrough album and it signified a dramatic transition in their career. They had gone from an all out Van Halen loving Hair Metal 4 piece, to an innovative grove metal thrash band.
Cowboys from Hell would be their first major label release and would see them touring with Judas Priest, as well as playing the iconic Monsters Of Rock Festival to a crowd of over 500,000 people.

The early 90s Pantera sound truly was something remarkable but it had some stiff competition to contend with. Megadeth were riding high with Rust In Peace, Judas Priest had unleashed Painkiller and Alice In Chains were pioneering the new Seattle Sound movement known as Grunge, with their debut LP, Facelift.
