Ukrainian lesson 5. “I HAVE“ structure: “У мене є“ vs “Я маю“

Today we will learn two ways to say “I HAVE“ in Ukrainian in the Present tense (Past and future tenses you will find in the next lesson). We will see what’s the difference between “У мене є“ and “Я маю“ structures. Also will learn a bit of grammar theory - the difference between habeo-languages and esse-languages, and why it is important for the Ukrainian language. In this video, we will also take a quick first look at the concepts of Nominative and Accusative cases in Ukrainian and the verb conjugation topic. We will also learn when we need to skip (or omit) the verb “є“ in the structure “У мене є...“.
