Mercedes-Benz Sprinter - How to replace the cable track on the load compartment door | W906

Dirt, debris and packaging remains can cause the cable track on the Sprinter to tear. To replace the cable track you first need to remove the door trim. Use an assembly wedge to undo the door trim. Pull the cables from both speakers. Disconnect the cable track connectors on the sliding door. Manually unlock the motor coupling. Turn the vehicle key clockwise 180 degrees. You can now move the door manually. You need to remove the B-pillar cover to get to the screws for the door sill trim. Detach the door handle and remove the seal on the front passenger door. Remove the B-pillar trim. Now you can access the screws for the door sill trim. Take out the entrance/exit lamp and pull the connector plug. After removing the last screw pull the door sill trim up and out. Vacuum out the dirt and debris. Don’t forget the area under the step. Dust will also settle underneath the cable track. This area must be completely clean
