The Romanovs. Tatiana

Tatiana Nikolaevna Romanova Великая Княжна Татьяна Николаевна; 10 June 1897– 17 July 1918 Tatiana She was the second daughter of Tsar Nicholas II, the last monarch of Russia, and of Tsarina Alexandra. Her beauty was remarkable, ethereal and those who met her said she truly seemed the daughter of a Tsar. Yet Tatiana was also known to be the most practical of the Romanov girls, and earned the family nickname: “ The Governess “. Tatiana also proved to be an able nurse during WW1. While in captivity, she wrote to fellow nurse friend, “Imagine being well and yet not boiling bandages in the morning“ . So often my videos start with the music. When I heard this beautiful piece by Georges Delerue , I thought of Tatiana Nikolaevna Romanova Georges Delerue - Solitude (Melody Piano) ’’Solitude’’ was the theme of the movie Dear Louise (1972)
