The Sword of Justice Here is a summary of the story told in the record : Part 1 (track 1 to track 4) Phoebus is researching how to get to the darkest woods, the dimension created by the Beast and where Selene is retained captive, and figures out how to get there. Once there, he conducts his research to find Selene and fights the monsters lurking in the shadows. He blames himself for something and harbors negative thoughts and guilt (Antelux and The Beast Within). He continues to search for Selene and eventually finds her after many journeys. They rejoice and share a moment of remembering together and sware to end the Beast and his evil plans (The Iron Queen). Together, they will find an element in the darkest woods that will allow them to set up a plan to defeat the beast and banish it to Tartarus (an extremely dangerous and isolated plane at the edge of time) from its own dimension. Phoebus and Selene fight in the name of their dream, to found Utopia, a city of a thousand wonders where humans will be able to live in harmony, and succeed in banishing the beast after destroying its body (The Scarlet Dance). Part 2 (from track 5 to track 8) The beast wanders through Tartarus looking for a way to reach his home : Hell. After many pitfalls and escaping the two knights of Heliopolis Oswald Croll and Arkeuid coming to this dimension to hunt him down. He finally finds a gate to hell after a mortal game of hide and seek with his pursuers. Once in hell, safe, he rebuilds his body of flesh with the energy of the damned souls. He then takes stock of his situation and thinks of his next plans (Semen Pessimorum and Darkness will Prevail). The Beast succeeds in rebuilding his body, finds his place in the infernal city and prepare his vampiric troops to attack Paris but there is one crucial element that he is missing. (Children of the Night). To complete his plans, he will go in search of his soul mate, Lilith, holder of the spear of destiny. He will join her with his army and court her, successfully, thanks to a dark love song (The Queen of the Black Sun). They are ready to unleash their rage on the human world. Part 3 (from track 9 to track 12) Claude Frollo, renegade alchemist, will open a portal in the middle of Paris to allow the vampiric troops of Lilith and the Beast to pass from hell to the human world. Phoebus and the knights having sensed the danger, everyone prepares for battle (Para Bellum). The massacres of September took place and Phoebus mourns the loss of the princess of Lamballe and all those unjustly killed by the Jacobins (Massacres de Septembre). Phoebus calls his most faithful companions to battle, Oswald Croll, Arkeuid, Hadrian and Robin of Locksley and together they motivate and lead the armies of the good into battle (Ferrum Fero Ferro Feror). A first battle at the gates of Notre-Dame takes place between the forces of good and evil. The fight rages but Lilith, who is the opponent of the knights at that time, triumphs because she has with her an artifact of rare power, the spear of destiny. The album ends with the defeat of the knights of Heliopolis, cornered at the gates of the cathedral (The Sword of Justice). To be continued...
