Mainz is famous for it’s beautiful old town, the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg (the inventor of the printing press), it’s wine production and stunning history, reaching back into the Holy Roman Empire. It is located on the 50th Latititude, close to Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. The tour took place in the city center. You will see a lot of historic sights: Mainz Cathedral of St. Martin, Gutenberg Museum, Marktbrunnen, Neubrunnenplatz, Mainz Old Town and the busy shopping streets in the city center.
