Pro-Palestine rally causes chaos at US Capitol

Hundreds of Pro-Palestine demonstrators have descended on the US Capitol in protest of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Protesters demanded a ceasefire between the sides as they sang and clapped during their demonstration inside the building’s rotunda. The protests were even promoted by ’Jewish Voice for Peace’, a progressive Jewish group seeking reconciliation with Palestinians. Demonstrators donned black shirts with the words “Jews say ceasefire now“. Despite the turnout at US Capitol, the activists received a largely negative reception from Congress, including from Democrats.
