Soseol - Invert ( “pov“ EP / MA40012 / Mankinart official music video ) Soseol’s EP “pov” is a calculated expression that thoroughly analyzes and solves inspirational elements obtained from large human-made buildings, engineering designs and symmetries. The cover, photographer Ha Jun-ho’s work, which expressed “virtual architectural space”, visually expressed the theme of the album. The hard bass and percussion instruments felt on the track are stably divided and positioned like piers, and they amplify the listener’s self-emotions by creating a tense harmony with three-dimensional main synths. And all of LP’s production processes, including vinyl mastering, were conducted at the domestic studio “Motherbird”, and together with professional engineer “Ed Kim”. They created a listening element that shows a great gap between analog and digital. The official music video, which released with the title song “Invert”, is an edited video of the short film “POV” produced by “Kim Min-joon”, a film director and writer. “POV” was awarded the Achievement Award at the “Southern Shorts Awards Film Festival” in USA and was nominated at the “Seoul Short Film Festival” in Korea, “The Golden Short Film Festival” in Italy, and the “Paris 2020 Laurels Film Festival” in France. Soseol works as a DJ and made his debut as a producer with his first album released in 2012. He is an electronic musician who established a record label “Mankinart” to form the domestic electronic music market and continue his external steps to participate in art-based projects such as movies and exhibitions, giving electronic music various paths and expertise. Soseol - ‘pov’(EP)는 인간이 만들어낸 대형 건축물, 공학적 설계와 대칭에서 얻은 영감적 요소를 그의 방식으로 분석해 풀어낸 계산된 표현이다. ‘가상 건축공간’을 표현한 사진작가 하준호의 작품을 커버로 장식해 앨범의 주제를 시각적으로 나타냈다. 트랙에서 느껴지는 단단한 베이스와 타악기는 교각과 같이 안정적으로 나뉘어 위치하고 입체적인 메인신스와 함께 긴장감 있는 조화를 이루며 청자가 품고 있는 자아적 감정을 증폭 시킨다. 또한 바이닐 마스터링을 포함한 엘피의 제작 공정 모두를 국내 스튜디오 ‘마더버드(Motherbird)에서 진행했으며, 전문 엔지니어 에드 킴(Ed kim)과 함께 아날로그와 디지털의 훌륭한 간극을 보여주는 청취적 요소를 만들었다. 앨범 타이틀곡 ‘Invert’를 긴장감 있게 풀어낸 오피셜 뮤직비디오 영상은 단편영화 ‘POV’의 편집 영상으로 해당 영화의 감독이자 작가로 활동 중인 김민준이 직접 제작하였다. 단편영화 ‘POV’는 미국 Southern shorts awards 영화제에서 공로상을 수상하였고, 한국 서울 초단편영화제, 이탈리아 Golden short film festival, 파리 Paris 2020 Laurels 영화제에서 노미네이트되는 등 국내뿐만 아니라 세계 영화씬에서 호평을 받은 작품이다. 소설은 디제이로 활동, 2012년 첫 앨범을 발매하며 프로듀서로 데뷔했다. 2013년 레코드 레이블을 창립하여 국내 전자음악 시장을 형성시키고, 영화와 전시등 예술을 기반한 프로젝트들에 참여하며 전자음악이 가질 수 있는 여러 길과 전문성을 부여한 전자음악가이다.
