GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Islanders () | Jarry Perfect Again

The Penguins went on the road for their first matchup against the New York Islanders this season. Both teams were quiet in the first period of play but a Kasperi Kapanen goal in the second put Pittsburgh ahead 1-0. Kapanen’s goal was assisted by Jake Guentzel which extended his point streak to a career-long 8 games. Tristan Jarry and the Penguins continued to hold the Islanders scoreless in the third, winning the game 1-0. This was the Penguins fifth straight win and Jarry’s third shutout of the season.
