Alrosa Tu-154M FINAL FLIGHT - including flypast at Mirny

On 28 October 2020, I was fortunate enough to be in Russia with a fellow enthusiast and we were able to make it to Mirny at very short notice (having just arrived in Tobolsk by train to join a scheduled An-2 flight) to join Alrosa’s very last flight of the Tupolev Tu-154M. There was only one possible itinerary that would get us from Tobolsk to Mirny, arriving only 40 minutes before the Tu-154’s scheduled departure. Luckily we made it, with a little help from our friends at Alrosa! The final flight was the scheduled 6R529 service from the aircraft’s home base of Mirny (MJZ) to it’s final resting place at Novosibirsk (OVB), where RA-85757 joined it’s already retired sister ship RA-85684. After take-off from Mirny, the aircraft performed a flypast of the airport, followed by a final flypast of the town.
