The most famous Boulder in the world... Midnight Lightning was first envisioned by John “Yabo“ Yablonski in the late ’70s, and first climbed by Ron Kauk in 1978. It was the first of its grade, marking an historic transition into the sport of expert bouldering. The iconic lightning bolt was drawn by John Bachar, who snagged the second ascent of the problem. Jake and Kyle spent one night in Yosemite in hopes to achieve the 10,455th and 10,456th ascent of this legendary boulder. It was the only boulder on our tick list. We will be back to Yosemite to do more amazing bouldering, and test ourselves on the inspiring big walls of The Valley in an effort to one day snag the Yosemite grand prize, El Capitan.
