Organ Talk: Thomas Ospital

presents a new series of interviews, devoted to probably the most mystical instrument in the world — organ. The first edition features Thomas Ospital (France) whose recital on January, 15, opened the VIII international organ festival “Mariinsky“. The first “Organ Talk“ covered a wide range of subjects: role of the music during the pandemic, French organ tradition, the nature of improvisation and, of course, the other important character of the series — the organ “Alfred Kern et Fils“ in the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky. :: Born in 1990 in Ayherre (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Thomas Ospital began his musical studies аt the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel in Bayonne, France. There he studied organ with Esteban Landart, completing his studies in 2008 with unanimous recognition of his high level of achievement.
