This piano riff was inspired by the late great Ray Charles. This piano lick features a blend of blues scales, blues double stop riffs, and a little bit of major pentatonic at the resolution spot. From an intervallic perspective it also features a blend of 4ths, 5ths, 3rds, and 6ths. Most jazz pianists or even beginning piano players tend to play their licks with 1 note at a time.
