Russia to supply Afghanistan with rifles

Russia is to supply Afghan police with 10,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles and shipment is due in January.    The provision was announced by Zamir Kabulov, who is Russian presidential special envoy to Afghanistan.    Kabulov said Moscow considered its supplies complete with ammunition as an important contribution toward normalizing Afghan situation.
