Your Crowning Glory (Princess Diaries 2 [subtitled] 2004) - Julie Andrews, Raven Symone

I like this song, not because it has such great lyrics (or lets be honest, a great melody) but because it’s Julie’s first time singing after her surgery. On film. And not “Old man River“. It’s sort of speak-singing, singing-speak.“ - Julie Andrews --------------------------------- Andrews had initially resisted the idea of singing in The Princess Diaries 2, feeling that it would come across to audiences as gimmicky, as well as slow down the action. But she was eventually convinced by husband Blake Edwards and director Garry Marshall, on the condition that she would have the right to cut the number if it didn’t fit. Andrews then personally chose Larry Grossman to work on the film’s music, and he constructed a song
