I like this song, not because it has such great lyrics (or lets be honest, a great melody) but because it’s Julie’s first time singing after her surgery. On film. And not “Old man River“. But she was eventually convinced by husband Blake Edwards and director Garry Marshall, on the condition that she would have the right to cut the number if it didn’t fit.
