Way Out West In Old New York (1968)

Travelogue extolling the virtues of New York as a holiday destination. Various landmarks are seen - Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Manhattan skyline, JFK airport, Pan American aircraft lands and tourists disembark, Empire State Building, Pan Am building, Chrysler building, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Centre, Guggenheim Museum (exterior and interior showing nice modern art exhibit), Ford Foundation, Brooklyn Bridge, Circle Line river trip, UN building, street scenes, Washington Square, pavement artists display their work, people play chess in the open air, outside a cafe - The Ginger Man, military parade at the Rockefeller Centre. Central Park seen from the vantage point of a high rooftop, scenic shots of the park including buggy rides, bicycling, etc. Some street scenes are shot through a “fish eye lens“ - rather fab!
