The Milky Way, The Comet, And The Stars: A Journey Through The Night Sky (4K)

2020 as we all know has been a very challenging year, to say the least. For the past few years, we have been making one of these night sky time lapse films each year, as they take about 5 months to film at several different locations. This year, several trips had to be cancelled or changed due to Covid, cloudy weather, forest fires, and smoke. The good news was that we were still able to get some fantastic new time lapses of the Milky Way core, and the Neowise Comet. However, I didn’t feel that we had enough to make the kind of film I wanted to. So, for this film, I decided to stretch the limits of artistic creativity and do some complex compositing of exotic foreground landscapes I have taken over many years, and Milky Way sequences taken more recently. So, SOME scenes are composited. Also, the moon- images which I took through a telescope many years ago- is used in some of the composited scenes in an exaggerated way.
