Circus In Town (1962)

Titles read: “OLYMPIA - CIRCUS IN TOWN“. London. Various shots show a huge audience of children watching a rehearsal of a Bertram Mills Circus show. Good C/Us of children watching, laughing and clapping as they see elephants parading across the ring, horses trotting about, clowns (act is Dubsky’s Crazy Car) and Lilly Yokoi - ’The Ballerina on the Golden Bicycle’ and Knie’s Wild Animals. The latter shows trainer Eugen Weidmann in a cage with lions, tigers, leopards, a polar bear, a Himalayan bear and two black panthers. Act shows the bears walking along on hind legs and the tigers sitting up in begging position. Followed by end titles then Christmas message - “The Staff and Management of this Cinema wish you - A JOLLY GOOD TIME and a Happy New Year“. (Jingle Bells on soundtrack.) Notes on file.
