Full title reads: “THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI - Celebrated on the site of the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.“ Liverpool, Merseyside. Procession of the priests walking towards the High Altar placed on the site of the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral at the celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi - commemorating the 19th Centenary of the institution of the Holy Eucharist. Masses of people gathered to watch the ceremony. Priests walking up the stairs of the High Altar to hold the mass. Procession of the altar boys (or choir boys, not sure) walking slowly through the crowds. High Mass was sung by Bishop Dobson in the presence of Archbishop Downey.
