Campfire Cooking. Dutch Oven Bread with Bacon Wrapped Halloumi Cheese. Cast Iron Cooking.

In this video, Maggie and I head out to the woods to do a spot of campfire cooking. After collecting firewood and lighting a fire to get a good bed of embers, I make a simple bread dough. After needing and proving the dough, I bake the loaf over the fire in my Dutch oven. To go with the loaf, I then pan fry some delicious smoked Halloumi cheese, wrapped in bacon - delicious! Thank you to Kim and Cathy for sending the Halloumi and thank you to ‘A chef in the woods with coco the border collie’ for the bacon wrapping suggestion. I hope you enjoy the video.
