He spent 1994 in rehab, distracting himself with his daughter Frances at home so he could quit h3r01n and focus on what would be his next album with Nirvana. To make Cobain’s job easier, Dave Grohl was the second songwriter for Nirvana. He recorded the vocals on the demos so as not to exhaust Kurt from his constant bronchitis and laryngitis already in the middle of 1994. By 1995, with Cobain already recovered, they began to work on the songs for the next album, where the songs would take another direction, since they would return to the style of their first album, Bleach. Dave would have a special and innovative way of writing songs, which would be like a fresh bucket of cold water for Nirvana fans. Pasó 1994 en rehabilitación distrayéndose con su hija Frances en casa para poder dejar la h3r01n4 y concentrarse en lo que sería su próximo álbum con Nirvana. Para facilitar el trabajo de Cobain, Dave Grohl fue el segundo compositor de Nirvana. Grabó las voces en los demos para no agotar a Kurt de su constante bronquitis y laringitis ya en la mitad de 1994. Para 1995, con Cobain ya recuperado, comenzaron a trabajar en las canciones para el siguiente disco, donde las canciones tomarían otro rumbo, ya que volverían al estilo de su primer álbum, Bleach.
