A scenic relaxation film showing some of the beauties of this region. There isnโ€™t only Rome :) Lazio is an ordinary-statute region of central Italy, with Rome as its capital. With 5 723 372 inhabitants it is the second most populated region in Italy after Lombardy, and the ninth by extension of the surface. It borders to the north-west with Tuscany, to the north with Umbria, to the north-east with the Marche, to the east with Abruzzo and Molise, to the south-east with Campania, to the west it is bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea . Inside there is the small enclave of the Vatican City. In a historical and geographical sense, Lazio itself is only the territory between the lower course of the Tiber river and the Ausoni Mountains, near Terracina, and the central Apennines as the eastern limit.
