There isn’t only Rome :) Lazio is an ordinary-statute region of central Italy, with Rome as its capital. With 5 723 372 inhabitants it is the second most populated region in Italy after Lombardy, and the ninth by extension of the surface. It borders to the north-west with Tuscany, to the north with Umbria, to the north-east with the Marche, to the east with Abruzzo and Molise, to the south-east with Campania, to the west it is bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea . Inside there is the small enclave of the Vatican City.
