The caustic bubbling of its 303 foundations countered by the soft and spritely flourish of LUPE’s melody. Both come together to craft an electrifying and magical fusion for the dancefloor. On ’The Invocation’, LUPE conjures syncopated synths and firing snares that slap us right in the hypothalamus in a fierce and fearless assault on the senses. Closing the EP by reining the snares and adding a heady dose of windy city shuffle is label favourite, Alinka, who reworks The Invocation with her trade mark bump and twirl.
