Richard Tice Says No Banks Will Ever ‘Fess Up’ To Closing Accounts Over Political Views

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has found there is no evidence of banks denying politicians access to accounts over the last year due to their political views. The regulator said the evidence it has gathered ‘suggests that no firm closed an account between July 2022 and June 2023 primarily because of a customer’s political views’. The probe was launched in August after Coutts Bank decided to end its relationship with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who claimed the account was shut due to his political opinions. TalkTV’s Ian Collins speaks to Reform Party leader Richard Tice who says no bank is ever going to ‘fess up’ to closing accounts due to political views. Tice adds: “It’s a joke. It’s a cover up. It’s a stitch up”. #talktv #talkradio #couttsbank
