Così come sei. Ennio Morricone

Giulio Marengo (Marcello Mastroianni), a Roman landscape architect unhappy in his marriage, meets Francesca (Nastassja Kinski), a young and beautiful Florentine, and then learns she might be his daughter. He resolves to keep his hands off but can’t seem to stay away, and she’s eager for a lover who’s a father figure. So he tries to find out who her father is. This Alberto Lattuada’s movie was one of 16 scored by Ennio Morricone during that year. “Preludio d’Amore” is an attractive piece romantic, but with a definite nod to the musical trends of the day. The pick of the themes is “Amore per Amore”, a ravishing creation with an outstanding solo flute part. It’s such a beautiful theme, one for the list of Morricone pieces which the whole world would know had it been written for a more famous film.
