The Fontane Sisters- Mean To Me (,

Had to do some research on this one! This song is from the 1967 Hamilton LP, “Love Is A Hurting Game“. I was unfamiliar with all the songs, and saw none of these songs were released on prior Fontane Sisters albums or singles, so after some research I discovered that all ten of these tracks were unreleased until the release of this album. 6 out of the ten songs were recorded in the summer of 1960, while the other 4 were recorded between ’54-’56, all recorded under the supervision of DOT records. I assume that these tracks were considered excess new material by DOT in 1967, and to either fulfill the Fontane’s contractual obligations, or their own, this album was released on DOT’s subsidiary label, Hamilton.
