Bodycam Footage of U.S. Marshal Fatally Shooting Omari Cryer in Louisville

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Louisville, Kentucky — On Friday, May 20th, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m. the U.S. Marshals Task Force, comprised of Deputy U.S. Marshals and LMPD detectives, were in the 800 block South 37th Street attempting to serve outstanding arrest warrants for Assault 2nd Degree (domestic violence), Strangulation 1st Degree, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree, Assault 4th Degree (domestic violence), and Probation Violation on 25-year-old Omari Cryer. Cryer was observed fleeing the location and deputies and detectives attempted to apprehend him. Based on the bodycam footage captured by an LMPD detective, Cryer ran through the alley in the 800 block of Sutcliffe Avenue, and he proceeded to retrieve a firearm from the left side of his waistband.
