Overview Once a niche automaker catering exclusively to sports-car buyers, Porsche has reinvented itself over the past few decades by practically pioneering the performance SUV niche. The 2024 Macan GTS is a perfect example of how Porsche has applied its sports-car formula to a high-riding hatchback crossover. A twin-turbo V-6 is standard and makes 434 horsepower; it comes with all-wheel drive and hits 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. That straight-line speed nicely complements the SUV’s agile handling. The Macan GTS is so well-balanced on a twisty road that you forget you’re driving an SUV by the time you’re exiting the first corner.
