Quick Questions with Chinese Astronauts before Their CCTV Gala Appearance

Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong, two of the 11 Chinese astronauts who will make appearance in this year’s Spring Festival Gala Friday night, answered some interesting and personal questions during an interview on Wednesday. Jing, who has been to space three times, said that being a part of the Spring Festival Gala made him more nervous than his space mission. Jing said he never thought of running into aliens in space, but if he did see aliens, he would invite them to Earth. “The most exciting thing I saw in space were the city lights of Beijing. It’s spectacular!“ said Jing. There was not much time to relax in the spaceship, but Jing said he did miss the food on Earth.
