Shooting the M3 “Grease Gun“

A brief discussion and test firing of the United States M3 “Grease Gun“ submachine gun. The Grease Gun earned its name from its appearance in the eyes of the cynical GIs. But it served rather well - particularly when you considered the economic costs of production in comparison to the handsome Thompson Submachine Gun. You might be shocked to know that this gun remained in American inventory into at least the 1990s. We replaced the springs after this shoot which improved the gun’s handling a good deal.
