Waxahatchee - Whiskey & Math (Nervous Energies session)

The first Nervous Energies session... Back on November 27th, 2010, I was with my friend Katie who was starting a solo project called Waxahatchee outside her main band at the time, P.S. Eliot. I had heard a rough cut of the first EP and told her it would be cool if we filmed her playing a couple songs. I mainly wanted just to have some live acoustic versions of the songs for myself to listen to but it also gave us a chance to shoot a couple photos of her to use for the release hahaha. So we filmed it in the basement at Synchromesh Studios where a lot of the first sessions would end up being filmed owned by a long time friend Jason Elgin. The next day told Katie it looked and sounded pretty cool and let’s put it up and see if anyone likes it. It got a few hundred plays the first day or two and seemed to be liked by everyone who saw it.
